Rental Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Playchest! Before you embark on an exciting journey with our toy rental services, please take a moment to carefully review our terms and conditions as well as the accompanying pricing guide. By using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms:

1. Subscription & Billing:

Toy rental services is only available to a customer who has subscribed to any of Playchest subscription plans.
The subscription period commences on the billing date, which is the day the customer successfully signs up for a Playchest subscription.
Billing occurs every month automatically. If the day of the billing date does not occur in every month (e.g. the 31st), the customer will be billed on the last day of that month instead.
A security deposit will be collected at the start of the subscription period and its' balance will be refunded within 14 days upon termination. Any fees owed to Playchest by the customer during the subscription period may be deducted from the security deposit.
A customer can cancel the subscription plan anytime before the next billing date. The subscription will end at the end of the billing period or if a billing is unsuccessful. Any toys unreturned by the end of the subscription will be deemed as purchased and charged to the customer's account.

2. Toy Rental Quota:

All Playchest subscription plans come with a monthly toy quota, which resets on every billing date.
A customer can rent up to the quota of toys per month.
Each Playchest box can contain a maximum of 2 large toys.
At any point in time, the number of toys rented out to a customer cannot exceed the monthly toy quota. This means that a customer needs to return a toy first before he/she can borrow a new one.
Additional toys beyond the quota can be rented if a customer pays for an extra toy swap and returns the rented out toys.

3. Rental Period:

The rental period begins on the date the toy is delivered and ends on the agreed-upon return date, which will be made known to the customer at the point of rental.
Extensions to the rental period are subject to availability and must be requested for before the return date.
Any toy returned after the return date will be charged a late fee.

4. Toy Care:

Customers are responsible for the proper care and maintenance of the rented toys.
Toys must be returned in the same condition as they were received, with normal wear and tear expected.

5. Damage or Loss:

Customers are liable for any damage, loss, or theft of the rented toys during the rental period.
The cost of repairs or replacement will be charged to the customer's account.
A cleaning fee may be charged if the toy is returned excessively dirty or requires extensive cleaning.

6. Delivery and Pickup:

Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery and pickup information.
Failure to be present at the agreed-upon location during the scheduled delivery or pickup time may result in additional fees.
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled delivery or pickup time.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled delivery or pickup time may result in additional fees.

7. Age Restrictions:

Some toys may have age restrictions. Customers must ensure that rented toys are appropriate for the age of the intended user and must supervise children during play.

8. Toy Purchase:

Customers can purchase the rented toys from Playchest at an agreed-upon price.

9. Privacy Policy:

Playchest respects customer privacy. Personal information provided during the rental process will be handled in accordance with our privacy policy.

10. Indemnification:

Customers agree to indemnify and hold Playchest harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from the use or misuse of the rented toys.

11. Modification of Terms:

Playchest reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Customers will be notified of any changes.

By using Playchest services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
